Description slough 2006-09-06 03:02:27 UTC
Since upgrading to new Slimserver 6.5b1 (and firmware) My SB2 has a problem when you switch off the PC. The wireless connection is via an adhoch connection, so when the PC is off there is no wireless connection. In previous slimserver versions, the SB2 display simply remained blank until PC and wireless connection was switched back on.

However, since v6.5 was installed, when the PC switches off, the screen goes blank, but only for a period of time. I am not sure how long this is, It could be 10minutes or an hour. But after a period of time, the following message appears on the SB2 display "Can't find (or Searching for) wireless connection". This will remain on the screen until the PC and adhoch network is switched back on.

I fear that if this display is constantly lit on the screen for many hours without a screensaver, it could burn into the screen. I must unplug my SB2 everytime I switch off my PC to avoid this

This was fixed in firmware 60. The latest 6.5 night builds now include firmware 61.
