Since I am streaming from a host pc over the internet to remote softsqueeze
players, as well as over wifi to lan sb2 players, I was looking for a better
way to implement security over who can access my slimserver.

When you are accessing through ssh over internet, it is impossible to tell
what ip address you will have, and therefore, can't limit access by ip address.

Can you add "Allowed MAC Addresses" as an option in the Home/Server
Settings/Security section of slimserver that would work in conjunction with
allowed ip addresses and block incoming connections options.

So if block incoming connections was on, only the allowed ip adddresses OR MAC
addresses would be allowed access.
