Description Dennis Darby 2005-10-29 04:07:58 UTC
New in 6.2.0 and in the last 4 Betas of 6.2.1 including 29-Oct-05, Slimserve
takes well over 1 minute to go to the Home page. There is a lot of disk activity
on the database disk (not the music folder though). Slim.exe is taking about 30%
CPU during this > minute. When I first set the playlist folder to blank, then it
took the normal 3 seconds to navigate between pages. Yeah! After a bit it went
back to the same behavior. It actually appears to be doing something in addition
to the web request when I navigate between pages. It exercises the database disk
a lot! Is it possible the command buffer is getting corrupted? Anyway I have a
3.2GHZ WinXP Pro and 115,000 songs in 7,800 albums and maybe 1000 songs on 50
playlists.

Can you please attach a zipped copy of your slimserversql.db file to this bug?

Thanks.

This is really a dupe of bug 2385 - the changing of the playlist path isn't actually having an effect. The
numbers are cached for a certain period of time before they are considered out of date.
