Description Nick Ryman-Tubb 2005-10-28 00:30:33 UTC
Firmware version 26

The output functions that were on SB1 "geek" connector need to be supported on
the I/O connector:

* s/pdif enable (PLAYING) - I used this to turn my external amp on/off
* ethernet link - used to indicate that there is a net connection
* infrared monitor - used to flash when remote operating

In a multi-room environment, where the amplifier may be hidden, it is important
to be able to turn this on/off through the SB and not manually.

See also bug 2378.

We're carrying forward the amp-enable signal to bug 3931. The others we will reconsider for future products.
