Description Julius Friede 2004-04-01 21:10:54 UTC
I just noticed a problem from the 3/30 build through the 4/1 build (it may be there earlier, but I
noticed it now). When I
"Play" an album via Genre>All Albums>Album X, the album doesn't play and another album (always the
same one) is loaded into the playlist. If I go from the album to the first song in the album (one
additional right arrow press), that song is loaded properly. Also normal album or artist selectiona load
fine. It used to be that the album played when selecting as described, it just loaded alphabetically. I am
not sure if the latest fix is part of these builds, but the behavior is different than it used to be.

I'm confused. One again, there is menu navigation being explained in relation
to a bug when this path of navigation does not exit. Genre, leads to All
Albums, then you must pick an ARTIST. Perhaps the menu should use All Artists.

Now I'm confused. Why do you say this path does not exist? If I go to a specific Genre, say Jazz, there is
an All Albums choice. Right arrow on All Albums lists all the albums in that genre. Why is that
confusing?

becuase they arent albums. I go to Browse Genres, press right, press up and see
All Albums, press right, and I get a list of artists, not albums.

However, I think, put most simply the browse via remote is just not working.
There are several problems while I'm testing it now. I'm also pretty sure its
my fault since this seemed to start when I tried to fix a sort order problem.

the list picking was incorrect, causing both bugs and a few others. patch
attached, for the record. sorry for the mess. I'm surprised that it took this
long to run into it. thanks Julius.

Thanks Kevin, that seems to have fixed it. I haven't had a chance to see if there are any other
symptoms, but it looks good so far.
