If one uses the podcast plugin on the server (i.e. NOT the Podcast Application), the Podcasts menu does not show up in Squeezeplay-based players such as Touch or Radio. It does show up in SB Classic and Boom.

Yep, that's why you should be using the Podcast app... the plugin only is there for legacy reasons, for users who had it configured already, and didn't bother about the newer players.
