Description Ryan 2010-09-16 11:10:33 UTC
FW 9009

2 test units with the MX253 version of the CPU both exhibit this problem.

If the unit is powered down by pressing the power button until the goodbye screen, or powered down by removal of AC power. When powered up the Real Time Clock and Battery charge status is not retained. This results loss of backup alarm function if there is a brief power outage.

More importantly it results in recharging a battery as if it is a new every time the unit is powered up resulting in battery abuse.

This may also be related to bug 16439 the "lucky boot" issue and just always unlucky with the different processor version.

I have checked this out using FW 9089 and msp code 1503 the real time backup works for about 5-10 minutes but not more.
