Apps that relate to user customized song lists (albums, playlists etc) do not act on the SB devices "Shuffle" setting.  It is ignored by the App unless you begin by playing a song in the album/playlist with shuffle off, then while playing, go back to settings & turn shuffle on.  THEN it will shuffle.  Tested with MP3Tunes & Rhapsody.

I can confirm this as well with Napster.  It's no fun because you always end up hearing the first song in your playlist no matter what...

It works as expected on Squeezebox Radio, however.

Bruce - does this mean that it's fixed in 9009?  Is there documentation around this or did you just stumble on it?

I tested this on my Controller with 9009 and it still works as it did before with Napster.  Shuffle is ignored.

Do not use insert instead of load - it defeats shuffle.

Verified on 7.6.0 32427  using Spotify playlist----used track-shuffle and the list was properly shuffled.
