Bugzilla – Bug 16114
Radio shows blue wireless icon, UI sluggish
Last modified: 2011-11-06 23:24:11 UTC
While verifying the fix of bug 16046, I ran across this bug, which sounds like what some of the users posting to that bug were reporting. This was on FW 7.5.0 8673 I was listening to a custom Slacker station, with shuffle off, and repeat playlist. I was connected wirelessly. I listened successfully for about 65 minutes. At this time the music cut off mid-song and wireless icon turned blue. After a few seconds the screensaver (clock) kicked on. Hitting a button and trying to use the UI resulted in sluggish UI response. Since the icon was blue, I tried to connect to the device via SSH to pull off a log file, but I could not connect. The device also did not respond to ping. I forced a full power-down by holding the power button for 10 seconds. After the device rebooted, it was able to easily connect and continue playing. I have a serial connection now and will use that to get log files more successfully.
Chris: - Could you please also note next time what the Diagnostics screen shows?
When I returned from a weekend trip yesterday I saw that my SB Radio (7.5.0 r8673) showed the revolving connection ring and tried to log into mysqueezebox account. The wireless icon was blue. After a power reset the Radio logged into mysqueezebox immediately and played a internet Radiostation. There were no network problems in my router network system at any time.
This one seems to have gotten better, although of course bug 16170 may just be overwhelming it.

It seems to me that the problem lies somewhere on mySB.com and not in the firmware. Never have any problems with my Boom FW 50.
Hi I have a similar issue here. After some time the wireless icon turns blue, music stops and the UI is only slowly responding. Only a reboot helps here but the behavior comes back after some time. Diagnostics Screen: Firmware-Version: 7.5.1 r8837 Hardware-Version: 5 Wireless-signal: 100% mysqueezebox.com: DNS error ping: ping error TCP-Port: 3483: no connection possible TCP-Port: 9000: no connection possible Time active: 40 min
Unassigned bugs cannot have a priority.
