Sometimes the eject icons in the main menu get confused (that's another bug which needs to be addressed). We should have a menu item in the devices list to eject the given device.

Felix, as always, please let me know if you are not the right person to work on this. Thanks!

Ben/Felix - I think this is something we should consider together with bug 15827. We should re-design the way SqueezeCenter and media management work together. IMHO we should rather have a media menu, from where various actions can be triggered. Starting SBS will be one such action, eject, browse images, start slideshow etc. others. That menu should be shown in the main menu instead of the "Eject USB/SD" item, as well as in the settings (where we have some information now).

Too much of the actual media management is implemented in the SC applet in 7.5. IMHO this should be a menu item other applets can hook in to, SC just being one of these services.

Maybe this is something to be discussed during the on-site. Alan mentioned this should be designed with some marketing input...

Please don't start on this task just yet. We should discuss the new media handling first, as this applet in its current form might be obsolete afterwards (or better integrated somewhere else).

Agreed on all of Michael's points. Felix, Michael, let's the three of us design and build a better media management menu solution post 7.5.0, probably for 7.5.1. Included in that design should be a fix for bug 15827 as well as this one.

I think this one's done.
