Since SB Server version 7.3 gapless with playback is broken for the Squeezebox 1 (FW 40), i.e. you can hear a small pause/srop out between consecutive tracks lasting a few tens of a second. With Squeezebox 2 (FW 113) gapless playback is fine. Maybe this is related to the forward/rewind function for transcoded music that was introduced with this server version?!

The last SB server version that does gapless playback for the SB1 is v7.2.1 (that's why I'm currently using that version). I've tested with different versions 7.3.x and 7.4.x which all show this bug with the SB1 (but not with the SB2).

My music is FLAC encoded.

This bug has been marked fixed in a released version of Squeezebox Server or the accompanying firmware or mysqueezebox.com release.
