Description Col 2009-10-09 11:09:23 UTC
A particular Live365 station is more often than not failing to play, though other Live365 stations are ok. Occasionally, and without changing any setting on my SB/SC, it does play ok, but this is now very rare. At one point I thought that running SoftSqueeze on my PC, sync'd to my Duet Receiver, 'fixed' it. But this does not seem to be repeatable.
Looking in server.log I see:
[09-10-09 19:05:43.9926] Slim::Player::Song::open (341) Error: Couldn't create command line for xml playback for [live365://www.live365.com/play/rlh68]

When it fails to play, I *can* listen ok through their website, so I think the station is running at the time. If I connect to it via SqueezeNetwork I also never have any problems.

SqueezeCenter is running (otherwise perfectly) on a QNAP TS109.
Any settings to try/check, or other logs to go looking for clues?

Have just tried again this morning, with some 'interesting' results. As is usual, the Duet Receiver (controlled via the Controller) will not play the station ("Disarranged Arrangement", by the way). So I played a different station "THE MACHINE") instead. Then I fired up SoftSqueeze (v3.7) on my PC and that *is* now playing the station fine. Tried again on the Duet - same error.
I also have a SB3 - this is synced to the Receiver (though not powered on at the moment). SoftSqueeze is not syncd to anything.
I've attached the server.log for what is described above. Logging (above Error level) is enabled for player.firmware [info], player.streaming [debug], player.streaming.direct [debug], player.streaming.remote [debug], plugin.Allquiet [warn].

Firmware versions (as shown in SqueezeCenter web UI 'Information' page):
Receiver 62
SB3 127
SqCenter 7.3.3 - 27044
SoftSq 2

One further piece of info: with SoftSq playing the station on my PC, and the Receiver stopped, I went to the SqCenter settings webpage and changed the Receiver settings to be syncd to "Controller and PC" - the Receiver started playing the station fine too.
Won't try too many more permutations - but hopefully that lot gives some clues!

Neither station would play this morning. Then I decided to install SC 7.3.3 on my PC and use that, and the Receiver played these stations no problem. Switched the Receiver back to use my TS109 SC, and its also now working. So it *can* play the streams, just seems to have trouble starting them up sometimes? Can't help feeling its maybe got something to do with synchronisation settings/state, but can't pin it down.

Have updated all firmware/software, but still sometimes getting the problem. I'm now running:
 SqueezeCenter: 7.4.1 - r28947
    Operating system: Linux - EN - utf8
    Platform Architecture: armv5tejl-linux
    Perl Version: 5.10.0 - armv5tejl-linux-thread-multi
    MySQL Version: 5.0.27
 Controller: 7.4.1-r7915
 Receiver: version 65
