Bugzilla – Bug 14660
Don't assume zip code setting in RadioTime is US user
Last modified: 2011-01-19 09:41:32 UTC
I am in France (--> French ISP), and in both MSB and SServer "The Netherlands" is set as location. Using "local radio" presents the following odd situation: 1- connected to SServer: "internet radio" --> "local" shows Dutch channels and Dutch OSD-language: OK "RadioTime" --> "local" shows Dutch channels and Dutch OSD-language: OK 2- connected to MSB: "internet radio" --> "local" shows French channels and Dutch OSD-language: not OK "RadioTime" --> "local" shows Dutch channels (and the on screen language is English): partly OK
Brandon: isn't there already a bug open on this? I couldn't find it.
I couldn't find it either, hence a new bugreport.
Probably related to this: Being in France (--> French ISP), language set to "Dutch", all the support-info, including thelephone numbers, is in French. This should of course also be in Dutch. Or better: you should be able to choose the support-localization.
Now on 7.5.0-29017 and jive_7.5.0_r7956 but this problem is still exactly the same. Is it being worked on?

Hello I'm still in Mott ND , any news regarding this ?
Yess I solved my bug :-) Don't use zip code in radio time unless your in the US It does not care about the other info you put into your settings then, like town country etc. 58646 is the zip code for my local neighborhood in Linköping Sweden . It is also the zip code for the little Town Mott in North Dakota doh! Must be a radio time issue have not changed this info for ages But localizations is not so good in Sweden. I get Sweden and the two largest cities Stockholm and Göteborg
We don't ask for zip code anymore. Please re-open if still an issue with RadioTime.
