Description Mickey Gee 2009-09-27 10:59:16 UTC
With a Jive r7784 already running and connected to a SB3, I turned off my SbS to update it. While SbS was down, I chose Pandora on my Jive. The spinny showed up trying to connect to my local SbS, and then I was presented with the screen in Bug 14196:

- Try Again
- Go Home
- Choose Player

Would like to choose MySb.com in this instance.

This situation would be similar to users who turn off their laptop running SbS for the evening but still want to play music from their Squeezebox.

During the time that SC is down, Jive shows a blue icon.

Not an issue with Baby r7784 for some reason.

There's now way out of this. If I choose Settings->Advanced->Networking and Switch to mysb.com, I get the bump. Wireless icon still blue. If I go to My Music I get the "you must download SbS" message.

I tried turning Jive on and off with Home button. No change.

I this point I think I need to do a factory reset.

Turns out the Jive was not registered on the test mysb.com server. I've only every updated firmware, but don't recall doing a real registration with the 7.4 process.

It was connected to the server, but not registered to my account. It was registered to support@slimdevices.com. Once I deleted it, did a factory reset, and went through set up all was OK.

changing priority and untargeting.

Okay I was able to reproduce this by the following:

1) deleting my controller and receiver from mysb
2) Setting up SC 7.4 and skipping the SN registration
3) Setting up the controller and receiver with SC
4) killing SC
5) Trying to play Pandora

I don't think this case is close enough to reality for most customers for us to worry about, but if it is, these steps will reproduce it.

By design. If the user has avoided registering with SN, the device should not offer to go to SN.
