Description Dan Evans 2009-09-24 10:50:18 UTC
When accessing the remote-control pop-up window you cannot select a player-- the drop down is empty or won't drop down. Tried on Chrome, Firefox & IE.

Michael: was this a design over look? or by design
Comment 2 Michael Herger 2009-09-24 12:00:51 UTC
Works for me. Even on the iThingy's browser. Do you see the player
"connected" in the player section?

Comment 4 Michael Herger 2009-09-24 22:19:04 UTC
working fine here - QA to reproduce. Thanks!

(oh well, but browsing music stations is broken... that's a different issue. Will file a bug)
Comment 5 James Richardson 2009-09-25 04:24:46 UTC

All right James, you and I are going to have to get together on this. :)
Comment 8 James Richardson 2009-10-01 12:35:59 UTC
Still works for me.. Chris are you able to reproduce this?
Comment 9 Chris Owens 2009-10-01 14:44:17 UTC
I think it must have to do with the fact that I have like 120 players associated with my account. :( Probably not that important.
Comment 10 Chris Owens 2009-10-01 15:09:05 UTC
I deleted 4 bazillion players and now it works. I don't feel like adding them back one at a time to see when it breaks again at the moment, but it does.
Comment 11 Dan Evans 2009-10-01 16:41:57 UTC
I cannot recreate this anymore. I've tried IE7, FF3, Chrome all on PC, and FF3 on Mac. It all works fine. The only time I saw this today was if I tried IE6, but we really don't support IE6 anymore.

Close as Worksforme?
Comment 12 Chris Owens 2009-10-01 16:43:59 UTC
I saw it this morning, but okay if you want it off the list. We can always reopen it when it annoys an actual customer. Except I need a resolution of 'WORKSFORDAN'
Comment 13 Michael Herger 2009-10-02 01:03:37 UTC
Chris - did you ever get a JavaScript error? Do you remember your players'
names? Have you been using anything beyond alphanumeric characters?

There's been a report in the forums which might be the same as this bug:
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68860

This user has a player named "Squeezebox (BOOM)". I wonder whether this is
breaking things. I'll try to reproduce.
Comment 14 Chris Owens 2009-10-02 09:33:18 UTC
Michael, what happens here in the building is that apparently people think my SbS server is likely to be stable, and so often when anyone connects a random Squeezebox to the net, they point it at my server. All of these SBs then get associated with my SN account too.

So I literally had more than 60 players on the list. I don't remember all their names, since I didn't name them. :)

I did not note any Javascript errors.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I am able to reproduce this again. :)
