Description Joggs 2009-09-17 00:09:54 UTC
It seems like there is no proxy support in squeezeplay.
I'm sitting at work and have to connect through a socks proxy to get out on the internet and also to reach my squeezecenter server at home.
I'm using softsqueeze today because of its great proxy support and it works pretty well, but ofcourse I want to use something more modern in SqueezePlay.

Could you please implement proxy support in squeezeplay.

I filed a bug report regarding the need for incorporating a User Name and Password for the available Proxy configuration in mysqueezebox interface. This bug has been marked as a duplicate of this one. I believe them to be different issues. This bug is about the proxy not being available, in mysqueezebox there is a proxy option but it lacks user name and password options. Can you confirm ifthey are duplicate bugs?

I don't think it is a dupe, because my need is support for a Socks proxy and I don't need user and password for that to work. A Socks proxy is one proxy type, and http proxy is another. They both can have user names and passwords but they are implemented differently when looking from a technical aspect.
