Description Mickey Gee 2009-08-25 13:46:22 UTC
I just upgraded to Baby 7261.

Now Playing is not on the home menu. I think it was there originally, and I went to App Store to add a new Sirius account. I chose install on home menu, and created a temporary 30 day trial account. I then started playing Bruce Springsteeen Channel 10 on Sirius.

I then press Home button to check what was on the home menu, and then pressed the Home button again. This time, the Home button made the "error" sound. I scrolled to look for the Now Playing selection, and it was no longer on the home menu.

The Now Playing screen still appears since my default screensaver is Now Playing while playing.

When Now Playing screensaver is showing, I can press Home button to go to home menu. But pressing it again just makes the error sound.

This will be a big issue for Fab4 No-Touch, with out a now playing selection, there is no way to get to the now playing (if it's not set as the SS)
Comment 3 James Richardson 2009-08-25 15:06:03 UTC
QA confirmed, Now Playing is on the home menu, UNTIL a stream is started, then the menu item goes away.

Happens when connected to SN.

When connected to local SBS, it's OK

James- FYI your comment#2 on touchless Fab4 is not applicable to this bug. It's an issue but not this issue.
Comment 5 Michael Herger 2009-09-03 08:06:02 UTC
QA - can you still reproduce this? I can't, working fine for me. (r7360)

If you could give me instructions to reproduce this issue _without_ Sirius - can't access it over here. But I've testd with Last.FM, Pandora, and Rhapsody.
Comment 6 Michael Herger 2009-09-03 08:55:59 UTC
Probably related: while I still have the NP menu item, I can't go there any more (after playing/stopping/playing Last.fm and some jumping around):

Tom: I am still able to reproduce this error on SP devices. I did notice that in the '10 foot' UI the menu item is there, but not when the '1 foot' UI (touch/touchless) is active.

Could this just be a UI menu issues?
Comment 8 James Richardson 2009-09-09 09:15:04 UTC
There are 2 skins for Fab4, WQVGAsmall (3') and WQVGAlarge (10'). The 3' has an NP button not a menu item all other SP device skins have an NP item in the menu.

QA is unable to reproduce the original issue any more. Touchless 3' UI issue will be reported in a new bug.
Comment 9 James Richardson 2009-09-10 08:17:58 UTC
I am seeing this on baby with r7453

What if any logs or other diagnostics can I do to help resolve this issue?
Comment 10 James Richardson 2009-09-10 08:19:20 UTC
This happens most often when connected to SN, and not when connected to SBS
Comment 11 Wadzinski Tom 2009-09-11 19:59:13 UTC
resolved by reverting bug fix 11013, which wil be reviewd
