Description Ross Levine 2009-08-13 13:47:53 UTC
Testing MP 7022 connecting to a network from factory reset, baby reaches mysqueezebox.com and prompts with no version number (there IS a custom.baby SC running on this network serving MP 7022, but that shouldn't matter, bug 13256).

If baby has MP7022, and it sees SC with custom.baby.version pointing to 7022, it should NOT prompt to update to this version. It should see the 7062 pushed from SN and prompt with that, it does not.

Sounds like an SP issue.
Comment 2 James Richardson 2009-08-13 14:06:10 UTC
I have noticed a close bug to this...when r7062 is on my SP device, and I connect to a server running custom r7022 I am prompted to 'upgrade' my firmware

This is new behavior as well. testing MP 6943 and 7.4 6989 this did not happen.
Comment 3 James Richardson 2009-08-13 14:06:41 UTC
Is this something we need to look at for MP or 7.4?
Comment 4 Richard Titmuss 2009-08-13 14:12:35 UTC
To late for MP.
Comment 5 Ross Levine 2009-08-13 17:37:12 UTC
Funny how this affects some routers and not others. 2wire 3800 and Netgear MR814.
Comment 6 Ross Levine 2009-08-14 13:52:47 UTC
SMC 2804WBR shows this behavior too.
Comment 7 James Richardson 2009-08-14 14:47:55 UTC
I think this may be the special firmware we enabled for Pre-MP > MP > 7.4 for baby upgrades.

I removed the MP firmware from /update/firmware/.7.4 and this problem appears to have gone away...

Andy? your thoughts
