Description Ross Levine 2009-08-05 16:18:55 UTC
When testing and qualifying firmwares this is extremely confusing and frustrating. With a custom.jive.version set to r1, even if Controller has r2 and then upgrades to r3, it will still be prompted to upgrade to r1. This greatly affects the QA experience as we rely on custom.version for everyday testing.

The workaround is to delete the custom files during, then test the upgrade process, and then of course bring the custom files back to downgrade to repeat the test.

We're doing 10 upgrade tests for every router in the lab (over 40).

I notice that the prompt to update with custom when it shouldn't only occurs about 1/4 of the time, I'll try to keep an eye out for what might be causing this.
