The setup wizard does not validate that a valid email address has been entered during the creation of an account OR entering an existing account.

Start fresh (after a factory reset).
Go the screen where it tell you, you need to register and enter an e-mail address.  Press next.
When it asks for e-mail address, enter some non-emial format string. e.g. abcd.  Press next.  There is no error message.

This is not an MP issue (it's after an out-of-the-box upgrades).

I added a specific check that the email contain "@" and at least one "."  The rest of the checks are handled by Email::Valid.
