Bugzilla – Bug 12987
Email addresses aren't properly validated in "enter email" screens
Last modified: 2009-10-05 14:30:58 UTC
When creating an account, the only form validation we seem to do is to check to make sure the string is x@y, where x and y are at least 1 character long. Shouldn't this be x@y.z? Maybe I'm mistaken, just want to flag this to make sure we're doing it right.
Upon further investigation, when I enter the string "7@4" as my email, I go to a screen that says simply "continue" but I'm blocked from actually continuing. Correct behavior for improper email strings should always be a "bump" on the actual screen I'm typing on. Would be nice to also apply this to IP addresses... not sure how those behave
Reset priority before triage.
