+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #12548 +++

Ideally, the splash screen would come up sooner, but having the screen light up white or grey would be a big improvement.  Needs to work on baby and fab4.

This bug is for further (future) work to increase the boot time to the logi logo.
