My father's using a fab4 in SN only mode. No services, just online radio. He's the kind of guy who's powering down everything, as in unplug the cable.

Recently when he tried to play some station he couldn't even browes the radio stations directory. When I looked at the SN admin page, I saw that the SqueezePlay part of the fab4 was connected, but the Controller part was not. After browsing Settings/Advanced/Information the device connected to SN, and he was able to browse radio stations.

Whether it needed to be that exact menu or (as James mentioned) whether browsing a service would helped too, that I don't know.

Oh, forgot to mention: firmware is 7.4/r6306

This bug has been fixed in the latest release of MySqueezebox.com (formally
known as SqueezeNetwork)!
