fab4 scree flashes like as strobe light after being idle for a long time (mine was idle over weekend). Touching or navigating with IR to a menu item turns to spinny but fails to change state and continues flashing. 

Touched power button turns off screen, but touching to turn on only flashes power button (probably strobing in background) but not long enough to click. IR power button does turn screen back on, but is still in strobing state.

Hit power button on back of fab4 to restart. Restart fixed issue and prompted for upgrade.

though this had every look of being a dup of 11169, I think this particular manifestation was a bug that I introduced on the Clock where it was redrawing every second instead of every minute. This is fixed in r6042
