Description Pikeharmony 2009-06-03 21:10:12 UTC
Discrete PowerOn and PowerOff do not work with the new power option that was added in the recent release. the toggle seems to work fine however the discrete PowerOn and PowerOff used by the Harmony Remotes for the Squeezebox v3 do not seem to function.

Tom, we need parity with the classic ir codes.

See: slim/server/IR/Slim_Devices_Remote.ir and

slim/server/IR/jvc_dvd.ir

Not sure why this bug summary was changed. The fix needs to work for discrete IR codes in general, not just Harmony.

Reset priority before triage.

At some point, it would be interesting to get feedback from the Harmony folks on other discrete codes we should support. Mute and unmute come to mind. I also have a Denon receiver that has discrete codes for things like vol=20 and vol=30 which is cool.

this is an administrative shuffle on priority fields to help make better judgment on the top end of the priority list. P4->P5, P3->P4, and P2->P3.

Why must I hold the button for 2 seconds? My SB3 is happy to obey the longstanding Slim power_on and power_off IR commands with only a brief press of my remote's button.

This isn't just a matter of preferring short button presses; I fear that the hold-for-2-seconds requirement for SqueezePlay devices will make it difficult to program my (non-Harmony) universal remote the way I like.

Please change the code so fab4 acts on brief button presses for power_on and power_off!

Thanks.

I just noticed that my BUG(2246) for the Discrete Power ON/Off functionality has been FIXED!

I'm currently running firmware version 7321

Keep in mind you do need to hold down the button to send the command for 2 seconds

Apparently the commands need a duration.

(The Duration will be added by default for harmony customers that add the squeezebox touch to their harmony account)

I'm very pleased

Great work!
