Description radish 2009-05-30 20:33:15 UTC
As discussed : http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63926

I made a few attempts to setup an SBR via the Fab4. On most (but not all!) occasions it did see the "Squeezebox xxxxxxx" name (i.e. the SBR ready for config) but tapping it on the Choose Player screen didn't do anything except click (no spinny).

FW r5931

Should work the same way as SBC
Comment 2 Seth Schulte 2009-08-05 12:12:07 UTC
Moving back to 7.4 since I (mistakenly) saw this as something limited to a problem with using Fab4 to set up a receiver (which would be an 8.0 issue, or even 8.01) and didn't consider the impact this would have on the 7.4-based controller firmware.

Bug #12215
Fix setupNext flow when setting up a receiver.
Improved debug so by default it's less chatty, and more informative.

Patch to remove SN pin code from SP

This patch removes the SN pin code from setup. But setup won't complete.

If I remember correctly:

- For newer products a slimproto connection is required to SN before the SN registration flow starts.
- For jive/ray, the jive has to be registered before you can link jive+ray.

With this patch the ray is connected to SN, but because the devices are not correctly linked the jive does not see that the player is connected.

I have not spend too long confirming this is the case, so further investigation may be useful (for example check in the SN admin interface to see what the jive/ray registration is).

We probably need to discuss this with Andy.

Logging hours worked
Comment 6 Felix Mueller 2009-09-01 06:32:18 UTC
This works now for mysb.com, but probably needs some additional work to fix when connecting to a local SC.
Comment 7 Felix Mueller 2009-09-01 10:11:15 UTC
Fixed as of r7358.

Please refer to bug 13801 for setup to local SC instead of mysb.com
