Description Mike 2009-05-23 02:51:16 UTC
As per forum thread http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57906, can we please have an option to disable the scanning of user-added artwork.

It takes me about 2 hours to do a full scan, and personally I am happy with not having any artwork with SC as my Boom doesn't show it anyway.!

Thanks

I should add I am running v7.4 (26714) on Mac OS X 10.5.7

A better option would be to speed up the process so it ceases being an issue.

Adding this ticket to this bug as well. Customer is requesting ability to disable artwork scan when using iTunes integration.

Thanks,

I would like to have this option as well - it takes 4+ hours to re-scan the user added art work from Itunes on my collection (48,000 songs, 1/2 with art), even though little or nothing has changed. If the server is left running long enough to complete the re-scan, Itunes is stopped, and everything is shut down gracefully, SqueezeCenter won't re-scan until you start Itunes again. But once you do start Itunes, SqueezeCenter wants to re-scan everything.

Moving 7.4 bugs to 8.0.
