Ticket #090515-002388

Squeezebox Boom(s)
Live 365 issue

Customer keeps receiving "you account is authorized for ad-free listening, but your session ID is invalid". This occurs when connected to SqueezeNetwork.

The customer states she has to factory reset her Squeezebox Boom(s) at least once a week.

In the past, we have had customers delete the Live 365 account from SqueezeNetwork, and re-add it, and the problem goes away for a few days, but then returns.

Thanks,

LaRon

LaRon, can you check with the customer to see if they also access Live365 via their WEB player?

> MY LIVE 365 IS SILL NOT WORKING

If you remove your account name from SqueezeNetwork > Accounts > Live365 Account Settings
Logout of Squeezenetwork
Login to Squeezenetwork
Re-enter your account data

Does it then start working for you again?
If so, how long till it stops working

Richard: I think I have been able to reproduce this error, but need to know the Exact error message you are getting. Please tell me if you 1) see an error message or 2) hear an error message or 3) get an error condition in some other way.

ALso, when you get this error is it because you are
a) playing a 'station' that is already in your playlist
b) playing a new 'station' by going to;
b1) Favorite > live365 station
b2) Playlist with a Live365 station in it
b3) Internet Radio > More Radio... > Live365 > <fill in next steps here>

How long do you typical listen to a single feed from Live365?
How long does it take for the error to happen for you?
Does it happen if you listen to 1 station for a long time OR if you switch stations all the time?
Comment 8 richard 2009-06-15 13:22:46 UTC
2) hear an error message

b3) Internet Radio > More Radio... > Live365 >genres >oldies > 60 > 60s chart toppers

James,

Per your instructions, these are the answers for comment # 7 as provided by my customer. His original bug was 11381

________________________________________________________________________________
* I hear an error message: "your account is authorized for ad-free listening, but your session ID is invalid". I don't see an error message. It's as if my Squeezebox/Slimserver is not aware of any problem.

* I get this error via "b3) Internet Radio > More Radio... > Live365 > Genres > Old Time Radio > <any-station-causes-the-error>". I don't use playlists.

* I may listen to a Live365 feed for a couple of hours. Occasionally all night, if I fall asleep.

* The error usually happens immediately (I power up the Squeezebox, drive through the menus, and press Play). Rarely, I'll be listening to a station and the error will happen (I'm a little hazy on the sequence here, because it's so rare).

* I don't see any correlation between station-switching and the error. I do listen to quite a few different stations in the "Old Time Radio" genre.

Andy: I showed you this error during the on-site. Customers have confirmed the invalid ID / time out you suspected.

Is there anything we can do about that, maybe request a new ID more often or on a different trigger?

Punting bugs that won't make it for the next release.
