This would be particularly useful when listening to Internet radio or classical music where significant amounts of text may be available and useful to display and where the album art may be of little use or unavailable. 

In some ways this is related to Controller bug 10515.

Really there needs to be a means of turning artwork on and off easily, probably from the context menu.

This is mostly a dupe of bug 10461 which contains discussion about removing the artwork either automatically or manually as an option.
