Description Anoop Mehta 2009-04-07 11:28:36 UTC
Received this email from a customer which I think describes the issue to the T.

I use a Duet with SqueezeNetwork and Rhapsody. I have had it for about a year and this is a recent problem.

Every album has the wrong number of tracks. For example, Get Guilty by AC Newman has 12 tracks. When I play it, it will say there are 21 tracks, e.g., Now Playing 1 of 21.

Because it gets the number of tracks wrong, it tends to get stuck. For example, after track 12, it might just play silence for an hour (unless I choose another album).

As far as I can tell, this happens with every album. For example, Hindu Love Gods, by Hindu Love Gods, really has 10 tracks, but it shows 17 tracks.

One of the effects is that it can't repeat albums, that is, it can't simply go back to the first track after finishing the last track, without a long gap of silence.

The problems were discovered with firmware 7.3.2 but I have also tried 7.3.3 and 7.4--same problems.

The problem does not happen with SqueezeCenter, so it is a SqueezeNetwork problem. With SqueezeCenter, it gets the right number of tracks.

If I use the squeezenetwork.com website to start the Duet receiver, then it gets the right number of tracks too. So the problem is only with the Duet controller and SqueezeNetwork.
