Bugzilla – Bug 10618
Rebooting shortly after changing a file may corrupt the file
Last modified: 2009-09-08 09:25:32 UTC
Example: I changed the "remote login" checkbox (which modifies the inetd.conf file", and shortly after (not sure how long) unplugged the fab4. when I restarted the inetd.conf file was there but was blank. I did a factory reset to get recover. History: Richard is aware of this issue and he suggested making this bug.

Added a sync after settings files are written in r5255. This should be reverted once a proper fix is in place. See also: http://lua-users.org/lists/lua-l/2009-03/msg00342.html
Changing from mini_fo to unionfs fixed this problem.
