Description Jordan Hirsch 2008-12-12 20:20:40 UTC
My info:

Version: 7.3.1 - 24288 @ Fri Dec 12 03:06:54 PST 2008
Operating system: Windows XP - EN - cp1252
Platform Architecture: 586
Perl Version: 5.8.8 - MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
MySQL Version: 5.0.22-community-nt

I just upgraded to 7.3.1, including completely uninstalling Squeezecenter and installing from scratch. Scanner.exe kept crashing during the initial scan, with an actual Windows grey box that would pop up and let me know that scanner.exe had crashed. However, the web interface kept counting up the timer, as though it was still scanning.

FYI - my files are on an Infrant Readynas NV, but Squeezecenter is running on my Windows XP machine. I have it set to do both a directory scan as well as a MusicIP scan, but it never gets to the MusicIP portion as the directory scan crashes.

I enabled debugging for the scan and have attached my logs. It seems to stop at the same song each time; I'm not sure why - the song will play just fine on my computer. The song is referenced in a cue file (the final track in scanner.log is actually part of one big FLAC file); I've attached the cue file as well in my zip file.

Thanks in advance for your help.

After my initial scan failed, I tried a "new and changed music" scan. It gets much farther, but also stops before it's complete - during the artwork scanning portion.

Directory Scan (49013 of 49013) Complete 07:10:19
MusicIP Import (63747 of 63747) Complete 00:18:21
Playlist Scan (26 of 26) Complete 00:01:48
Merge Various Artists (6346 of 6346) Complete 00:08:08
Artwork Scan (1651 of 6410) Running 02:35:07

After the second scan, I am not able to access the "New Music" link - it spins and spins but eventually the browser simply times out and I get this message:

The webpage at http://localhost:9000/browsedb.html?hierarchy=contributor,album,track&level=0&player=00:04:20:06:4b:58 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

I'm not sure if this should be a separate bug or if it's related to the scanner failing.

I don't see anything in the log about the timeout error, but I don't really know what I'm looking for.
