SN web UI is missing password reset form
Comment 1 James Richardson 2008-12-10 10:00:59 UTC
hasn't this been fixed yet?
Comment 2 Matthew J. Martin 2008-12-10 10:10:52 UTC
Misreported this--I do see the reset link now.

The problem is that the error message obscures the reset link, when in fact you
would need to click the reset link at the point where you realized you can't
remember your password and got the error message.

For this reason, the password reset link should always be available for a user
who is not logged in and not covered by an error message.

The Password Reset Link is under the red 'your password is wrong' text on the attached image
Comment 5 James Richardson 2008-12-10 12:52:27 UTC
Michael: would this be yours or Weldon's to fix?
Comment 6 Michael Herger 2008-12-10 23:26:13 UTC
Matt to design/define, me to implement.
Comment 7 Matthew J. Martin 2009-01-28 15:52:42 UTC
Status on this???
Comment 8 Weldon Matt 2009-01-29 09:33:31 UTC
Michael, given the space constraints, I think the only solution right now is to shorten the length of the error message string (which is unfortunate because it probably makes the language less user-friendly).

Can we try "Incorrect username or password?" Does that give us enough room to include the link inline?
Comment 9 Michael Herger 2009-02-02 00:00:00 UTC
Are there no plans to redo that page anyway?
