Description Steven Moore 2008-11-13 09:18:02 UTC
Sometimes when a I select an album from the music section or the new music section then press play the first track plays okay. The next track in the album starts playing but the display still shows the name of the first track. This can be rectified by pressing now playing.
I only play apple lossless tracks.
Sorry if this has been reported before, I did a search but could not find a match.

Does this error happen on the WEB UI player? or your SB Controller? or another player UI

Sorry should have been clearer.
It happens on the squeezebox display. It's a sb1.

I removed completely squeezecenter and all preference files. I added only the lazy search plugin. I then re-downloaded and installed a new version of squeezecenter. The problem still exists.
I selected artists from the music library on the squeezebox then scrolled down found 10cc, selected bloody tourists and them selected the first track. The first track played fine and then the second track played but the display did not update.
I have scroll once then stop set in the sb settings, could this be where the problem lies?
I remember the problem of the next track name being displayed before the finish of the current track well this does not happen now, obviously.

My music is all apple lossless, on a firewire drive on a mac 10.4.11, using 7.2.1. sb 1.

what 'now playing' screen saver are you using?

I am still unable to reproduce this issue with 7.3.x and my SB1

Just noticed 7.3 I've downloaded and installed. I'll try it over the next few days and report back.
Screensaver when playing is set to Now Playing. 3 hours for a rescan of 10,000 tracks wow.

I have tried the sb of the last few days and have been unable to reproduce the effect. Previously in 7.2.1 the problem was happening almost every time I used the sb. I can only conclude it must have been fixed in 7.3. I therefore recommend the bug be resolved.
