Description Matt Wise 2008-11-07 10:35:18 UTC
The view of songs should look just like any other Playlist view when you generate a Music IP playlist. This shouldn't be too hard to implement, and would look quite a bit nicer. Additionally, the "Play This Playlist" section at the top should be much larger. Perhaps it should be twice as big as any of the songs, with larger text and a more clear play button. It's far to easy to select the first song and be confused about the whole process.

I know its a bit late for 7.3 ... but I'd hate to see this wait to 8.0. Any chance this can be done for 7.3.1?

Looks great... I'd like to see that checked in. Additionally, I'd like to see the 'Play All' section larger than the rest of the songs so its more obvious to pick that selection.

One thing my wife just pointed out, when you pick a song inside of that list, it should start playing the entire playlist at THAT point -- just like we do with albums.

change 23860

I think I'll have to step back at this point. Both of these follow-on requests are non trivial. The styles and templates are not set up for certain rows to be more prominent than others. Also, playing the entire list from the selected location is a big change in behaviour (not to mention code),

personally, I don't like the idea of "larger" as the rows do currently waste a lot of space as it is.

understood that it's not a trivial change. As far as the larger top item, perhaps it just needs the I-don't-have-any-artwork picture to goaway, and a much larger font to be used...

I understand what you are saying, Mat. I think I could do without art on "all-*" rows. However, in the current structure, I no longer feel it's the place for third party folks to rework UI without specific direction. That falls under the scope of Brian or Noah for a mockup.

Behavioural changes would need to be Dean, or Mickey I should think.

agreed..

Dean? :)

This is basically implemented. MusicIP playlists (before you hit Play/Add) look like playlists on the right-hand side of the screen. Its far more usable now.
