Description Blackketter Dean 2003-12-19 22:10:22 UTC
hey devs & the rest,

i just got an idea for a nice feature, that I for one would very much
like...

For me this just concerns Browsing Music Folder on the player itself,
but might be useful for other people somehwere else... or not!

I'm almost always using the Browse Music Folder (and "Sort by Song
information"), and it work really good for my "/artist/album/trackno -
title.mp3" folder structure, but works less good for the /singles
directory. What i REALLY like to be able to do, is have to music sorted
depending on the currently selected Title Format!

ie. if my Title Format is "TITLE - ARTIST", sort on TITLE first, and if
I via the remote just change to ARTIST - TITLE, sort the list on ARTIST
first instead.

That would make it really quick'n'easy to browse thru a singles-folder
and look for different songs by an artist, or switch to TITLE - ARTIST
to quickly locate that song you know the name of but not the artist who
made it... (or also all other artists who also have made a version of
the same
song...)

I know there are nifty search functions and such, but if you're browsing
around and building a playlist, that just adds a hell of lot more
keypresses... (and those menu-entries i have disabled anyway coz i
rarely use them...)

If possible, nothing you have to put ontop of you list ofcouse, but I
would really like such a feature...

hope I made myself clear... ;)

thanks!
/andreas

btw, what happened to the list at slimdevices.com ?!
