Bugzilla – Bug 9897
Directory Scan misses out on Files and Folders containing accented Characters
Last modified: 2011-04-29 11:48:35 UTC
Tracks in Folders or with a File Name containing ö, ä and/or ü (Accented Characters, also called Umlaut, a pair of dots placed over a letter) do not appear when browsing UI or in the SB / SB Boom Display. The problem is NOT the Tags. After having them played once form the Music Folder structure, the affected tracks appear in the MUSIC LIBRARY. Problem was noticed when a 14 Track album only contained 12 Songs in MUSIC LIBRARY, while Music Folder structure showed the correct set of tracks. Stefan - while this particular bug has been targetted for 8.0, I've applied several fixes to the 7.3 branch. Did you have a chance to test the latest builds? Can you still see the issues described here?
