player.alarm=debug

even with bug 9405 fixed i still have some issues with this function and am not really sure if this a problem of the alarm plugin itself. my problem (SC7.3trunk) use case:

- define alarm (play current playlist, set volume to 15)
- hear music on my boom with volume set to 50%
- power down the boom
- alarm goes off, volume set to 15, music plays
- press the snooze button (music is off)
- press the power button to disable the alarm
- wait a few seconds
- press the power button to resume playback
  => volume is set to 0/1 (sometimes 15) but never to 50%

I found a similar problem described in the bug mentioned above (after it had been closed). maybe they are related...

thanks,
Markus

Max, care to comment on this one?

Markus: do you have Fade Alarms IN set to ON or OFF

I have so far been unable to reproduce this with 7.3-23787
Comment 2 Markus Schiegl 2008-11-03 13:11:28 UTC
It's an alarm configured for 5 days (mo-fr), current playlist, repeat, alarm-volume=15, snooze-length=5min, alarm-timeout=10min, no-fade.

What's bothering me though, is this log entry:
[08-11-02 21:55:00.0133] Slim::Utils::Alarm::sound (553) Current vol: 0.00766754150390625 Alarm vol: 15

Somehow the alarm plugin concludes the volume is down at 0 (or almost at 0) although, 5 minutes earlier i have listened to music with volume=50. I verified the volume level being at 50 with SC and the player UI. So S::U::Alarm has other informations...but from where?

Not required for the 7.3 release.
Comment 4 Markus Schiegl 2008-11-24 21:07:22 UTC
I think this may be a duplicate of bug 10092 and may therefore be fixed in change 24059. I tested it a few seconds ago (i woke up before the official alarm, did a quick svn-up, alarm sounded, alarm stopped + volume was restored the first time)

I'll see how it works the next days and will eventually close this bug...
Comment 5 Markus Schiegl 2008-11-27 21:15:13 UTC
looks good now. so i'll close this bug as duplicate of bug 10092

Reduce number of active targets for SC
