I suspect power saving will reduce the available processing and network resources so playback will eventually begin to stutter. If i shake/move (13:32:05) the SBC from time to time there's no problem.

This is a know issue, it's now at the top of my list to fix.

Fixed in r3275,3276. The audio playback code now manages the power saving to prevent stuttering.

This bug has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release version of SqueezeCenter!

Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html if you haven't already.
