Description Thomas Rosted Jensen 2008-11-01 04:24:05 UTC
As of today 1. November 2008 - I suddenly got the following problem:

1. Connect to SqueezeNetwork.
2. Choose Podcast - select any podcast.
3. Choose any podcast.
4. Press Play.

The second the audio starts playing - Squeezebox3 does not react to remote control (e.g. browse up/down) for about 8-16 seconds.

Problem appears to be general for all OPML file content.

Reaction to remotecontrol comes back normally after the 8-16 seconds.

Firmware og Squeezebox3 was not changed before / after problem started.
Upgrading to latest official firmware from Squeezecenter 7.2.1-1 did not solve problem.

I use OPML files to define Internet Radio Streams (they are placed under SqueezeNetwork/Favorites/Podcasts) - and I have always been able to switch between radio stations quickly - 1-2 seconds to switch station - now I have to wait 8-16 seconds before I can switch to next station..

Further analysis:

The problem is more generel:

Whenever SB3 is connected to Squeezenetwork, and any audio that is started to be played causes the remotecontrol interaction to freeze for 8-16 seconds.

Also during random intervals - removecontrol interaction is lost.

Whenever SB3 is connected to local SqueezeCenter - there is no problem.

Problem seams to be come and go.

Initial repported problem occured: (your local time)

2008-11-01 04:41:26 - and following 4 hours.
Then problem dissapered.
Now problem is back again (please see time stamp og this message)

Could there be a Squeezenetwork server load problem?

please leave targets, severity and priority at defaults for new reports. These will be set after review.

In the case of a dramatic service outage like this, it is best to contact Support, not open a bug. Bugs are reviewed days after an event like this would have taken place and been fixed.
