Description Ian Peters 2008-10-30 09:21:23 UTC
After installing the squeezecenter .deb package, squeezecenter was not starting successfully. The log showed:

"2008-10-30 11:38:14 SqueezeCenter died. Restarting."

over and over again. After trying to start the server manually, it turned out to be a problem loading the GD module. I was able to fix this by installing the libgd-graph-perl package on my Ubuntu 8.10 system. Hopefully this can be added as a dependency of the package so that others won't have this problem in the future.

I'm not seeing this. I just created a virtual image with Ubuntu 8.10, downloaded and ran the .deb package (7.2.1 - 23630) and it installed and started without complaint. I should mention I updated Ubuntu prior to installing SqueezeCenter.

I'll leave this open for others to chime in, I'm sure if this is is a true bug we'll hear all about it.
