Bugzilla – Bug 9828
Alarm snooze is only 1 minute long
Last modified: 2012-02-27 17:33:17 UTC
When the alarm is snoozed (top snooze bar), the playlist stops playing as expected. However, it resumes after 1 minute, not the quoted 9 minutes. I tried this functionality on a friend's Boom before buying one, and it did work as advertised, although I could swear the snooze time was 10 minutes, not 9. I was using the same SqueezeCenter in both cases (InfrantNAS running 7.2.1), but have changed the default viewing options on my own box, so perhaps this is the culprit. In other words, I have changed the default screen behavior when music is stopped or paused. I am writing this from work, so I don't have the specific configuration.
Hey Max, does this sound familar?
Tonight I tried setting my default screen saver options back to factory defaults and the snooze now works! It's either 9 or 10 minutes, but it's definitely not 1 minute anymore. The settings I had adjusted (one or more which caused the bug)are: Now Playing Information: Clock Screensaver when playing: Date and Time Screensaver when stopped: Date and Time Screensaver when off: Date and Time (default)
The snooze length is controlled by a client preference - alarmSnoozeSeconds and is set using the alarm web interface. This defaults to 9*60. I have seen this become set to 60 (i.e. one minute) on my machine, but assumed it was just because I'd set it that way whilst testing and forgotten to change it back. It is possible, I suppose, that something else is accidentally changing the value of this pref. Adjusting the prefs listed above should not have affected the snooze length, so this could point to the problem.
QA to reproduce. Works for me.
I am not able to reproduce with the nightly on ReadyNAS Version: 7.3 - 23831 @ Thu Nov 6 03:10:03 PST 2008. Closing as works for me. If you are still experiencing this issue please reopen and add additional comments.
Closing resolved bugs - if you feel this bug still exists please first re-test with the latest SW/FW version. If you are able to reproduce then feel free to reopen and attach new logs / steps to reproduce.
