Description Dave Nanian 2008-10-22 11:15:42 UTC
Before the artwork has been lazily fetched, an album name is used as a placeholder for the art, next to the album name.

With any album that has a name that's more than a word or so, it runs under the text next to it, because the column is quite small. Looks pretty bad, and since it takes a while to fetch, it looks bad for a long time...

How would you like it to behave?
Comment 2 Dave Nanian 2008-10-23 07:41:14 UTC
In general, I think the over/underlap is the problem. I'd probably prefer a general 'art loading' graphic that's properly sized for the column...

is this one yours to fix Michael?
Comment 4 Michael Herger 2008-10-30 13:48:01 UTC
I'm not sure there is a solution to this. It's in the nature of web pages that browsers try to to display them as quickly as possible, sometimes before they have all the information needed to display it correctl.y

Dave - what browser are you using? I can't even see this. Could you please provide a screenshot?

More than happy to -- the attachment should clearly show what I'm talking about.

Ok, now I see. Seems to be a FF3 only "issue", as the other don't use the alt attribute correctly... All we could do is remove the alt value, which is intended as an alternative if you can't see/use the graphics (eg. screenreaders, slow machines or connections etc.). Removing them is a problem for visually impared users (and against good style).

I'm sorry, but this really minor issue won't go away.

Fair enough; just looked rather ugly and lacking polish, so I wanted to report it.
