Description steve edwards 2008-10-21 23:11:24 UTC
(No component for reporting bugs for squeezeslave...)

(No OS for CentOS...)

CentOS 4.7
Squeezecenter Version: 7.3 - 23393
squeezeslave 0.7.5.1-20167

I run sqeezeslave on one computer. If I run sqeezeslave on another computer, the first instance crashes with the following:

pcor@localhost ~ $ ./squeezeslave fs
Output devices:
0: /dev/dsp
Error in recv 1: Success
User defined signal 1

If I restart the first instance of squeezeslave, the second instance then crashes.

When all else fails, RTFM...

Specifying --mac lets me run more than 1 instance in my network.

However, I believe the correct behavior would be for the second instance to warn that another instance already exists with that MAC address rather than crashing the first instance.

Same here.

Please ask in the forums to see if anyone wants to help create a patch to fix this.
