Allow genres or artists to be excluded from last.fm scrobbling
Last modified: 2017-06-22 10:17:49 UTC
Please allow certain genres and/or artists to be excluded from last.fm scrobbling. This is useful for people who listen to local files of podcasts, audio books, or when multiple family members use the same player. In my case, I have some "white noise" type tracks that I like to play on a loop at night and I don't want these cluttering my last.fm profile. The third-party, unofficial SqueezeScrobbler plugin allows this, but when I use this plugin I lose the ability to mark local tracks as loved when they are played.
What about a new menu in Track Info, when playing a song that will be scrobbled: Stop scrobbling this artist Stop scrobbling this genre ($genre_name) Rather than building a huge list of checkboxes in the web UI or something.
Fine with me, as long as there is a obvious way to undo it (in case of accidents). FYI: In the other plugin, it is not a huge list of checkboxes, just a text entry field where you enter a list. It relies on the separator character defined in SqueezeCenter, which caught me off guard at first since I didn't have one defined.
Agreed - I don't want to use Last.fm for Jazz and Classical recommendations, so it would be great to exclude those. Thanks! Andrew
I'd like to be able to exclude artists and/or genres, with an option to allow an artist inclusion to overide a genre inclusion (for example "always include regardles of genre" for an artist).
+1 - I can't get the unofficial plug-in to work in my install (LMS 7.7.1 - r33735) running on a QNAP - installing it jsut removes the official plug in but the unofficial one does not appear. This functionality would be very useful to me (and was when the unofficial one worked for me) - otherwise my last.fm profile fills up with nursery rhymes!
