Description Anoop Mehta 2008-10-16 13:19:46 UTC
So far I have used BAL analog outputs on Transporter to feed my Behringer DCX2496 bass equalizer, and phono SE analog out to my main speaker amp. In an attempt to shorten the signal path in the bass by using AES/EBU digital variable output I discovered this: The AES/EBU output seemingly has two settings: Volume off and -49.5dB, while the analog volume behaves normal. Have I discovered a bug in SC 7.2?
I have tried a Factory Reset of the Transporter, but that didn't help.

Paraphrasing to Ross-English: Digital AES/EBU (XLR) output is fixed to 0 or -49.5dB, no scale.

Sean do you have anything I could use to test this?

I still don't understand the problem. Is the UI only allowing two choices of volume level? Or is he talking about the output signal?

The AES/EBU port transmits the same data as the s/pdif port.

I can't reproduce this. Anoop I think we'll need some more information from the customer.

I tried using AES/EBU output from my Transporter to MWise's Transporter. Both were able to adjust volume to scale, not just -49.5db and mute. Tested with 7.2.0 and 7.3.0 - 23647.
