Description Andrew Harman 2008-10-14 21:09:05 UTC
When I change selections in genres in Random Mix on the Controller, it doesn't register my changes (the SC web interface has a Save Changes button that is missing). ie I can change my selection of genres, hit Random Songs to create a new playlist, and my changes will not be reflected in the new playlist.

I noticed that whatever genres I check will appear in the browser interface, but won't take affect until I hit the Save Changes button.

Using 7.2.1 -23555 I do not see this issue.

When using the Controller UI to select genre, SC WEB UI updates appropriately.

Starting a MIX via the Controller only plays the selected genre by the Controller.

Please re-test with 7.2.1 then reopen this bug if you still see an issue. Attach a log with the following logging set to DEBUG as well.

plugin.randomplay
player.streaming
player.source

Just tried this with 7.2.1 and found the same behavior. Try the following steps to reproduce it:

Go to the Web SC interface and in Random Mix click on "select all" and then use the save button. Then select 'Randon' songs to generate a playlist.

Go to the Controller, and in the Music Library->Random Mix->Choose Genres and do 'Select None', and then select any single genre in the list below. AT THIS POINT THERE IS NO 'SAVE' BUTTON ON THE CONTROLLER UI, as there is on the web UI, so how do I confirm my new selection? The centre button just toggles selection, as do the play button, and back and home take you away from this screen?

If you do what seems logical and hit the back button, and then select 'Song Mix', you get a playlist with the old genres selection ('All', in this case) as the new genre selection has not been saved.

SqueezeCenter 7.3.0 24282
Controller 7.3 r3476

SBC is using a select box, which will save the second you select it, there is no extra confirmation needed.

SC is using a check box, which requires an extra 'save' button to make the final select.
