Description ron 2008-10-13 21:44:55 UTC
Hi,

Would very much appreciate an option to get the audio faded out and in again while changing stations (Squeezecenter or Squeezenetwork) or music tracks from Squeezecenter. TMHO it should work like this:

audio present on output
scroll to other station or track
hit play button > audio fades out
system locks to new station
buffering new audio complete > audio fades in

Fade out and fade in times somewhere between 0,5 and 1 sec ?

Any ideas ?

One of the cooler features of WinAmp. Fade in an out whenever a track is changed the player is stopped or whatever. You only notice it when it is NOT there like in WMP11.

It would add a lot professionality to the product.

I agree and voted for this request, except that I think there should only be fade out and no fade in. some songs begin quite loudly and agressively on purpose, and you lose that with a fade in.

Fade out when changing or skipping songs would definitely be great though.

PS1 : this applies to every SB, not only the Transporter
PS2 : fade in could be enabled on stations and disabled on local tracks.

Changing product/component to reflect change in enhancement request.

This sounds like a perfect opportunity for someone to write a plug-in with this feature.

Patches welcome :)
