Bugzilla – Bug 9682
Chronic Slacker Radio Problem
Last modified: 2009-07-29 14:00:01 UTC
Ever since I received my Squeezebox Boom player, I have been experiencing constant issues with Slacker Radio & SqueezeCenter. The firmware version for my Boom device is 32 and the software version for the installation of SqueezeCenter that I have on my system is 7.2. Whenever I attempt to play my Slacker Radio station via the SqueezeCenter application, I receive an error message every 2-5 songs that states: "You have logged in on another device, press PLAY to start." So, I have to press PLAY each and every single time to get the station playing again. I only have ONE Boom device and I verified that I didn't have anything else going on in the background - I wasn't logged into SqueezeNetwork, nor was I logged into Slacker Radio anywhere else, so I cannot figure out why I'm receiving this error message. This issue seems to be specific to SqueezeCenter, as I don't receive the above error message when I'm listening to my Slacker Radio station via SqueezeNetwork. Which is fine for the time being, but I *strongly* prefer to use SqueezeCenter over SqueezeNetwork.
Please try 7.2.1. If you see the same issue, then please turn (plugin.slacker) - Slacker to DEBUG, recreate the error then attach the log file to this bug. So far I have not been able to replicate this issue.
Andy notes he has seen this bug as well.
Figured it out, this is caused by Slacker's server bumping sessions if requests for a single user come from different IP addresses. This sometimes happens due to our redundant SN load balancers. Have asked Slacker to see if they can fix this on their side.
I'm having this issue as well. It's very frustrating. I was hoping 7.3.3 would fix it but no go.
