Description Felix Mueller 2008-10-07 14:36:39 UTC
- SBC not in cradle (i.e. not charging)
- Both screensavers set to 'none'

- Set 'Screen Dimming' to 'none'
- Screen _still_ dims and goes off after about 2 minutes

- Shake SBC
- Now the screen stays on (as it should)

- Set 'Screen Dimming' to '10s'
- Screen dims in about '10s' and goes off completely after 1 minute

- Shake SBC
- Set 'Screen Dimming' to '20s'
- Screen dims in about '20s' and goes off completely after 1 minute

- Shake SBC
- Set 'Screen Dimming' to 'none' again
- Screen dims after 20s and goes off after about 2 minutes

- Shake SBC
- Again, now the screen stays on (as it should)

It looks like when setting 'Screen Dimming' to 'none' the whatever last setting is still active until SBC gets at least shaken once.

Verified on two SBCs running 7.2 r3070

We'll have a look. Ben is cc'ed if this triggers something in his brain.

fixed in r3389. only dim the screen for powerState=='dimmed' if the current settings allow it.
